Remaining other languages is spoken as the mother tongue by 1% or less then it of population. Constitution of country however, guarantees, irrespective of what official language is language spoken in country can be used for some official purposes as well as documentation.
Nepali language is derived from the Sanskrit, and it is considered as language closest to the written Sanskrit in the Devanagari script. Nepali is commonly written today in Devanagari scrip and there is record of the using Takri script in history of the Nepali that is written in Nepal especially Himanchal and Utarrakhad. Country is intelligible mutually with Urdu and Hindi speakers.
Nepali was developed on the great literature within short period of hundred of years in 19th century, it was fueled by the Adhyatma Ramayana, anonymous collection of the fold tales, and Ramayanna by the Bhanubhakta. |
